PEACE MEMORIAL PARK

Public BBQ

There's something wonderfully unpretentious about Peace Memorial Park that immediately puts you at ease. This charming village green serves as Landsborough's quiet heart, where locals pause for lunch breaks and families gather for afternoon adventures. The park strikes that perfect balance between practical amenities and genuine charm - the kind of place where excellent toilets (genuinely well-maintained ones, a rarity worth celebrating) sit alongside tennis courts and a sports oval that's clearly loved by the community. The western end hosts a delightful children's playground that draws families like a magnet, while generous shade trees provide respite from Queensland's enthusiastic sun. It's the sort of place where you'll find fitness groups meeting at dawn and travellers making strategic toilet stops - both leaving thoroughly satisfied. The park embodies that quintessentially Australian approach to public spaces: functional, welcoming, and refreshingly honest about what matters most.
